I've seen guys grenading these shafts with steep gears and at high speeds. I know there is a critical speed and its a cheap *** 1 piece they are using now. How much gear can you get away with on the Crew cab 1 pieces without worrying, and for the guys that have gone to a 2 piece, what kind of money do you have tied up in doing so? I have 3.23's and have been 136 in my truck 3-4 times, but I wouldn't dare try with 4.10's .
