apparently chevrolet likes fixing trannies....i just rolled over 1500 miles on my '07 crew cab, so i brought it in for the "free" oil change that we agreed on at purchase, and while it was there, i asked for them to adjust the electronic kick-down on the tranny, and to remove the throttle activation delay.

i had a problem with the tranny taking to long to down shift when a slowed for a stop, but re-applied the throttle before stopping. the drive line would slam into a lower gear and i was very easy with my driving because it was breaking in.

apparently it is supposed to do that because the *** at the dealership gave me a memo from corporate stating so. no adjustments were made, and they still charged me for the oil change!

so i guess i will be using that 100k mile warranty because the grand-paw period is over

ill just have it adjusted when thunder racing gets a tune for it.

 

FWIW GM dealerships cant change any of that kind of programming unless GM sends out a new update to the OS for that vehicle, but when a custom tuner is available you can change it yourself to shift whenever you want it to. I'd bitch about the oil change not being free though haha....they give those away all the time anyways
