I am about to put some 18" Boyd timeless 6s on my truck. two of them have 295/45/18 Nitto 555s on them. two of them have some DESTROYED Nitto 555Rs.
so i need two tires. i'm looking at these 3 tires in a 295/45/18:
nitto 555s
toyo proxes s/t
Hankook Ventus ST RHO6
I can get the nittos and the toyos for practically the same price. The hankooks are about $70 cheaper for the pair.
I know the nittos are tried and true, I can't go wrong with them. I've also heard a lot of good things about the toyos. I haven't heard much abotu the hankooks but $70 speaks (hell that's a tank of gas for me to finish off the 16s with!
)
Also, I'm kinda worried the truck will look goofy with mis-matched tires front and rear.
Please post opinions and/or experiences regarding actual tread life (those ratings don't mean ****), noise, handling, wet and dry traction, and appearance.
