Default New TQ behavior?

I just put a TrailBlazer stall in with my LS1 swap and noticed it drives quite different.
It kind of feels like the brakes are dragging when starting out slowly.

It also seems like the rpms stay up longer before it shifts. I'll be driving around normal and the tach will sit around 2,500 for a while like it can't decide if it wants to shift or not. It will do this for a couple seconds and then shift. Before it would just shift right away.

Also, I put a tune in from a predator for the transmission and it made the shifts really firm. Hell it used to bark the tires into second with about 3/4 throttle. Now after the new TQ, every shift is really soft again almost like factory if not worse. Does a looser TQ cause this much softer shifts?

Sounds normal. You are feeling what is commonly called a loose feeling because of the higher stall. It takes a little time to get used to it. It will also make the shifts feel softer.

Alright I've been getting used to it and made some changes to the trans tables which has helped alot but I still don't like one thing.

Say if I get onto the highway and get up to around 70-75, the RPMs will hang at about 2500rpms for about 15 seconds and then I believe the TQ locks up and drops it back down to about 2200 rpms where it normally would be.

It used to only take a second or two before, does anyone know what setting can be changed to fix this?

Thanks again guys.

Well I figured out why the RPMs didn't drop down as fast as they used too. I found an article talking about how the P0300 code for random misfires can cause the torque converter to not lockup and I was getting these P0300 codes constantly.
I changed the Edit>Engine Diagnostics>Misfire>Misfire Max time between events>Low RPM and changed default 32767 to 32000.
After that, my TQ is locking up just as it should. Thank god cause my gas mileage was going to hell like that.

Everything you are experiencing is normal and I bet you liek the performance differnce that you noticed from the stall. I had some problems with those damn P0300 codes but it went away magically from the cam swap so Im happy needless to say and I bet you are too with the new swap.
