Default need quick reply: tranny cooler install

Ok guys, call me stupid, retarded, ignorant, whatever you must, but please help me. Got my cooler mounted...now what. what line(s) do i tap into? radiator removal required? HELP

top line on passenger side goes to cooler and then other side of cooler goes back to thta line

or if you bypass the rad then both lines go to the cooler

none of my fittings fit...the ones i have to go in the rad are either too big or too small and same goes for the ones to connect back to the factory line...anyone else have that problem with the tru-cool?

yep, you will have to do one of few things, buy factory lines from gm and adapt it to the new cooler or splice into the stock lines

that fitting from my experience you wont find

what i would is this
on the upper line there is a rubber flex part on it. if you take time to cut it and remove the two metal crimps they use. it is already flared/barbed. so if you take the time to do thisthen youll be set. you wont be cuttign anything but the rubber flex line. and if you ever wanted to go back to stock then you could simply put a rubber flex in between the same spot you jus took apart.

split it and then remove the crimps...they are a PITA but its worht it. i did this for the first time on my truck but then decided to by pass the rad. but once you undo the crimps and run your hose to the barb'd lines you should be set

yeah thats what i was wondering. I'll try it again in the morning. Thinkin about using one of them small cutting discs on a dremmel tool and just cutting those crimps off? That right?

thta would work i did it the long and upsetting way of using dykes to cut it off.
