Angry Need help and info quick,i ran into issues

Ok guys this is weird but this morning i dropped off my grill and hood at my local painter to get painted and problems started.
So it was like 40 degrees with no hood and grill and forced induction ,i had to get on it,it ran like a beast, but then i noticed while cruising with ,just coasting(not on the gas) the rpms start jumping from 500 to 700 like it wants to shut off and w/b is lean -till i get on gas,but its constantly lean just coasting, sounds like its cammed-ha
now the headache-in drive my tranny shifts from first gear to third,no second gear!!so i manually shift it from first to second ,it just stays in first.
I have a tranny cooler,2nd gear servo just put in not to long ago.im even thinking of putting the factory servo to see,but who knows.
I dont know wtf it is,but i have a big headache.its just wired only started since i took the front clip off-lol
Any suggestions would be appreciated-

thanks-zach

Sorry man, can't help ya', but maybe someone will come along.

Don't know if these trucks have a limp mode, but sounds like it could be it. Might be right about too much air coming across the MAF and causing it to act up...??

Its on my 08'4.8 so yea the 4l60e,its in drive, normal driving it would shift into second around what 25-2800 rpm?well this one in drive it just stays in first till about 4500 rpm then itwill go to third gear then fourth.
Now manually shifting, from lo 1,i shift to second and nothing,it just revs up or redlines.it will go in third and fourth just fine.NOW if i go around 60-70mph then floor it ,so it should downshift to second, when it does it just redlines and revs up
How much hp do these trannys handle?

Not to tell you what to do, but take out the servo put stock back in and check your accumulator pistons. I put a superior servo in and had to rebuild my trans. Shattered the 1-2 piston, burnt my 2-4 band, and warpped the reverse input housing. Didn't relize what the problem was so after rebuild I put the superior servo back in and no 2nd or 4th. Put stock servo back in and now have 2nd and 4th. So I would put your stock servo back in. IMHO

What kind of servo was used and was it new? I have seen where the clip on the servo pin used with a superior servo brakes and causes the 2nd servo not to stroke. Might be something to look at. Other wise it sounds like a band that is starting to fail. I have seen where the band will still apply in 4th because of less load on the trans. Get it checked out. Vince
