Default need to find traction , awd with none

i cant get my truck to hook anymore. i used to be able to cut 1.6x 60fts consistantly with my old motor and less boost , i guess im making qute a bit more power now, im cutting mid 1.7x 60 ft's but spinning through most of first gear.

i think my first problem is my stall is a bit to high. it flashing to well over 4k

1st for traction im thinking of trying some 20 inch centerline wheels with the new nitto 20 275/40/20 drag radials. just getting them to hear up is hard doing an awd burnout isnt exactly getting them hot enough.

2ndthe front end rises alot , so im thinking eiter crank my t bar all the way up or make some mounts for limit straps like the trophy trucks use so the front end cant lift as much

3rd for the rear i can do a few things, go with adjustable shocks to stiffen the heck out of. i can add air bags and completly fill them to get noe sag in the rear on launch, or i can go all out and 4-link it so i get the front end to squat on a launch

any experience with any of this , or any better ideas ?

traction is killing me bad right now.

I'm of no help at all to you but so far i'm spinning enough that the et streets have only gotten me a 2.023 in the 60ft....i'm sure this didn't make you feel any better but i felt like sharing.

norcal , your right but let me add

i should be trapping 113-116 in the 1/4 off the spray , this weekend my best was a 12.0 @ 112 with alot left on tune, this was with my big **** 22's though

im going to switch my brakes back to the alumasports so i can keep my 18 radials and run them , they are 28.7 inch tires(305/45/18)

so i can go through the traps just at over 6k rpms

now that is going to be off the spray , when i spray i expect to be in the 12x.xx mph.

so wheels arent going to change , id rather change calipers when i need to race.i need to keep traction with the dr's

the bad part is how do you properly heat tires on and awd vehicle?

anyone with 4wd with cal tracs?

do they work as lift bars at all?

i need something that will keep the front end down some without going to a complete four link.

Parish used limiting straps to keep the front end down, didn't he? Maybe you could experiment with them?

try the limiting straps and cal-tracs IMO... they should give some lift in the rear, and weight transfer is exactly what you DONT need... unlike us 2WD guys.

so do cal tracs help keep the rear from squatting and help the front end go down?

your front end will raise regardless. that's the first thing that happens.
next the caltracs lifts the rear of the truck and plants the tires to the ground.
