Default Need fast answer please!!!

Trans fluid is low on my dads truck cuz of a lil pan leak, its going on a trip and theres no time for a fluid change, since he didnt buy the truck new we dont know what brand of fluid it has in (probably stock) what happends if I buy any brand of fluid to fill it?

Its a 2005 singlecab 5.3 4l60e around 40,000 original miles

Oreilly's special for GM seems to work just fine

Look on the dipstick. Im most cases it tells you what you should use. Pretty sure my 06 uses DEX 6.

Ok I will check that today and check where I can buy fluid since its christmas, what if I cant find does brands? Is any other ok?

try walmart or something. make sure its a dex of some sort and should say for GM use on it. If it does, you should be fine

2005 still calls for Dexron 3, not Dexron 6. So any Dexron fluid you find for GM transmissions will work just fine.
