Default My tranny sounds like a half full water bottle

sloshing around. It's only under pretty hard acceleration/deceleration.

It doesnt last long, only a few seconds. But it sounds like a half full bottle of water sloshing around, could this be peices of metal floating around in my tranny? or is this normal.

I recently had a seal replaced on it because it was leaking. It drives fine except when I drive normal, but when I push it, its a bit sloppy on shifts.

When's the last time you dropped the pan and changed the filter? Did you notice ayn metal then?

Is the fluid level ok?

well about 3,000 miles ago, i had the tranny serviced and fluid changed because of a leaking seal. So I'm not sure about metal peices, the guy didnt say anything. But the next time i drive it, ill check the fluid level. it should be fine, havent noticed any leak spots

I hear this same sloshing sound in my 1978 Camaro with a TH350 auto trans. It has been making this noise ever since it was rebuilt about 15,000 miles ago. There are no leaks and the fluid level is perfect. It seems like the sound is most noticeable after hard acceleration and when I first start the car up. I asked my trans builder about that noise a couple years ago and I forgot exactly what he said. All I really remember is the noise was "normal" and "not uncommon".

I figured it was something common because my sisters fiance has almost the same truck and he said his does it too. Better safe than sorry.
