Agreed. Just clutch crud I could live with at this point. Hard parts breaking floating around is another matter. I've changed my mind about running it till it craps out. The trans is coming out and the spare going in.

Oh i know.. i been scared to pull my pan to redo my shift kit :nunchuk1:
Ill just pull it when i get my FLT Lvl 4..

The 80e is no longer invincible

Might as well through mine in the dumpster. lol.

Hey, it's just like Frank has said many times, any trans can and will break.

I installed the shift kit. I didn't install the clutch springs no sprag in the kit.

True, ive seen allisons die behind stock Dmax's..
seen 4L60Es last 200+k miles.
its a "wear" item.. i just want mine to wear really slow

Are you sure its not fragments the drilling while putting in the shift kit?

Oh man, aint that the truth!

Hey Roger, are those chunks magnetic? They don't look to be metal from the pics...at first I thought that it was actually one of the pan magnets broken up into pieces, then I noticed that the chunks had different thicknesses and an almost "rubbery" look to them...
