what wiring info do you need? i probably have it. trans xmember can be solved a few ways aside from buying a new one. you can even bolt a piece of 3x3 angle iron onto your stock member and drill new holes for mounting.

My truck has 4.10's in it with the tru trac currently, Im gonna wait and see what its like. Keep in mind, this is not a stock t-56. It has much high gears then a Fbody t56 throughout each gear.

I have the wiring info others have posted in the t56 swap thread, just reading it tho there seems to be a few grey areas. I'm just gonna pull wiring diagrams from a camaro and truck and sort it out myself. As far as cross member goes, Its more of the same. Gonna bolt it all in and see which one works best. I have the stock and 5 speed x member, but I think Ill have to modify ether one.

More of just "swap anxiety" I suppose...I like to have everything laid out and 100% before I start working, but as we all know, There usually is lots of variables

as for the wiring the only things you need to worry about is vss which should just plug right in and the reverse lockout/lights.

You will not have to modify of you have the 5spd xmember, my truck stock was a 4.8 5spd and I swapped in a t56 and it bolts right up to factory xmember.

Another thing is I left the skip shift unplugged so I can skip gears. And I took the reverse lockout out bc I didn't wana wire it up. Doesn't bother me I have never ground it In reverse... 1 more helpful tip to bleed the slave, Buy a speed bleeder hose!!! Makes it so much easier to bleed. They come in all sorts of lengths. I think I paid like $25 on eBay for a 18" one. It screws Into the bleeder on the slave and comes out the bellhousing. After I bled the slave I just zip tied it up

I wouldn't mess around with the different masters, the truck master works fine. Quik had problems ok thats fine and all, but I've got over 10K on my setup without any problems. I made a stiffening plate for the firewall for the master and used stock everything.

The truck master is identical to the one supplied with the 2500/3500 D-max ZF rigs. Guys that do dual disc clutches etc are snapping the pedal assemblies not the ears on the master.

Oh and as others have noted don't bother with trying to make stock lines work, it's just a pain. -4 or -3 AN that thing and be done.

I didn't see the pics - did you rip the dash apart to weld in the top bolt bracket for the clutch pedal assembly? That is important IMO it keeps the pedal assembly from flexing. Plastic doesn't like to flex.

No I Did not pull the dash. I'm looking at some other options before I go that far. I am making a stiffening plate for the firewall likewise, and the master will bolt through the plates and firewall.

I have a Nice line already for the Master to slave, I'm going to stick with a TICK Master. I already have it, and its a great quality piece.

Only reason I say about X memeber, is that Ive been told 99's have some strange x members compared to 2000-2007 year trucks. Guess well see when the time comes.

I just received my slave and bell housing bolts today, So i should have everything to start getting it bolted together. Trucks at my dads shop, and with a newborn son, my spare time is mostly spent around the house waiting for him to cry lol

Was able to put an hour into it today.

Got the bellhousing and slave bolted on. Tranny had to be grinded a bit for the clutch line output, it was a tight fit. But its fitting great now
