I am pretty sure it came installed (I know I didnt install it) I compared the two and the only diffrences I saw was the size of the input shaft hole I think I willl go to the dealer today and double check and see if it came with the bearing.

I had to machine the speed engineering adaptor larger to accommodate the 26 pin needle bearing. Tthe adapter came with a different size needle bearing approximately 3mm smaller.

Why is it so hard for SE to make the part right?

I think the mating shaft size in the T-case changed at the 02 model year. SE has been excellent in replacing the first adapter with the right one that gave me a fighting chance. Unfortunately in the end the part required further modifications that were fairly simple. The T case is back together and on the truck now. Onwards to better things!

I'm also in the middle of THEE swap...and it looks like a lot of others in here have done it too...can you post what everyone did for tuning....i have a custom dyno tune from Next level performance... but, they have not done a swap before and are unsure of what to do. I am considering buying hptuners but i can't get it quick enough. what are the other options?
Thanks!

EFI live or HP tuners can actually get you going pretty quick. Lots of help and file sharing on this forum.

Good Luck

Tell your tuner to take a 4l80e bin file and transer all your engine tables over.
