Thanks.

Unfortunately yes they do and it can be quite a jarring experience. I had about 8" of clearance stock and 3" after the drop. I trimmed my bump stops from 3" down to 1/2" and it would hit once in a while and sometimes when I was not expecting it too and it would not hit when I was expecting it too. It was enough of a pain that I ordered Air Ride Air Over Leaf bags with built in stops to keep it from bumping so hard. It works and the ride is just a little bouncy at times because the bags allow very little travel as they have a built in 3" bump stop. It is almost as good as stock which is still quite rough as you know.

One good side effect of the bags is that it levelled out the rear suspension which was off by 1" to the left before the drop. I hooked the bags up with independant air supply so that I can air them up to different levels if I need to and they act a bit like a sway bar helping to level out the truck in sharp turns.

I wonder if I'll have more than 8" of clearance to start with on my 2500HD, hmm, do you think an extra 1" of clearance would make a difference?
