Major probs!!!

ok guys, i rebuilt my tranny, only thing i saw that was bad was the 2nd gear band, well i just went through and replaced all the clutches and steal plates and the bands. well in the process we broke my tcc soleniod so i bought a replacement and used the "lock nuts" it comes with , well i took pics and went step by step making sure everything was done right. well i took it down the road and drove it and went through all the gears, was shifting good no probs at all, was downshifting when it needed to and everything. well i went to swap lanes and gave it about part throttle and it downshifts to 2nd, then when it was about to shift into 3rd it hit the rev limiter and i lost every gear, it wont go into anything .
any suggestions? comments? things i need to look at? i have till thursday to have it fixed cause we're geting out for the summer break

well i went by what my instructor told me and hooked a pressure gauge to the side of the tranny in the spot indicated for it and ran through the gears and have 0 pressure, could this be caused by my pump?? also could it be my torque converter

If you are getting 0 PSI, then the pump is not turning. Maybe the converter was not stabbed correctly and the pump gears broke after a short road test?? Just to make sure, you could do the cooler line test - no flow = no pump. Just in case you are hooked up to a wrong test port. Good luck.

it was the correct port went by the directions and diagram on all data, i pulled the tranny and took the torque converter off and no teeth are missing, but when i drained the fluid there was small shivers of what looked like aluminum in the bottom of the pan, so im guessing the pump took a dump????

Next time make sure you get the converter stabbed all the way in like Chris said. If its not all the way you mess up the pump.
I usually put mine on/off about 3 times just to be sure it's in all the way. should side in 3 times.

Gotta make sure the converter is in all the way, but a cracked shaft on a converter might allow just enough slack to vibrate & take a pump out. Pump can be split apart, replace the broken vane & plastic insert, and reinstall in the truck. I'd probably get the pump halves checked for straightness.

ok after being drove crazy, and geting the wrong parts, i finally, im assuming by what the guy at the tranny shop is telling me, have the right parts, but now i have a leak, i got a remaned 13vane, and reman converter, but now i have a leak and now i have to wait till july to work on it cause i wont have access to the shop till then (out for summer break at college), anything i should look for when i get back in july??? its leaking from the bellhousing so im guessing the front seal on the pump?????
