Default lq9/t56 swap in 2001 rcsb GMC

What all is needed to do this? Obviously i need a trans, clutch and pedal assembly, and a shifter. I know the 6.0 will drop right in my 5.3's place, but what kind of things need to be done in order to make the swap?

I think you have to have the shifter relocated to back of the t56 to work in the trucks

there're actually huge writeups that explains every step of the process for both the engine swap (which is cake since you've already got a v8) and the T56 swap

Default swap answer

it is very simple just need :
hole saw kit $40
master cylinder $75
clutch pedal assembly $120
hydraulic lines $150
cross member off manual truck $100
rubber boot for manual $20
ls2 fly wheel and pressure plate $600
& ls7 clutch(from dickie scoggins)
stock tranny mount off 4l60e

and for the motor
use you valley cover with the knock sensors in it
use the ls2 style intake and throttle body
nelson makes an ls1 to ls2 style throttle body harness $ 60
and the rest goes in the same spot sensors and all
you will need to get it tuned or do a base tune on efi live or hp tuners to get it to drive
there are some small detail things in the tune and wiring that need to be addressed such as reverse lights, cruise control, torque management, fuel enrichment, the auto has i believe 43 ticks per revolution on the flex plate and the t56 has 17 ticks per revolution but if you have a professional doing it they should know, everything you need is on here just have to search it, when i did my swap no one had half the stuff done so it was alot of trial and error, and now there is adjustable clutch pedal write up, and center console write up, and lots of good info, just go to search and the 4l60e to t56 sticky has alot of part numbers and good ideas that are very useful,

the truck intake has shown to be better for bottom end in these heavy trucks.
