Default lowering a c1500

I recently purchased belltech springs, and DJM shackles/hangers, and was wondering how hard they would be to put on. I took it to a suspension shop today, and they wanted $400 to do it. Many people tell me, its more or less a bolt-on, but you have to be careful. Is a spring compressor required for the front? I have never done it before, but wouldnt be afraid to try it if its not impossible. any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

Man,the shackles are a walk in the park. I installed mine on my old trcuk (01 model) it was easy and I did it myself with no experience. All you need is a wrench and good pair of hands.

The springs I dont belive you need a spring compressor. Its a direct bolt-on
Get help if needed.

No spring compressor needed, I think as long as your familiar with what needs to happen it is pretty self explanitory.

I had a '99 ECSB that I used 2" lowering springs in front, they worked fine, but there was not enough adjustment for proper alingment and my tires wore out on the outside edges. Then I went with Belltech spindles to eliminate that problem. Now I couldn't make tight turns and couldn't make it through some drive-thrus. I haven't heard anything bad about dropped A-arms for the nbs trucks. I hope this help you.
