Default Lowering

BlkonBlk asks:

"sorry to bother you but i have a question about using 2" shackles to lower the rear of my truck. i was wondering where i could find some and how easy or hard it would be to install them? also what kind of suspension mods have you don if any? thanks"

I obviously don't have a lowering kit. I'd guess its easy, but i've never done one.

I used a Ground Force kit that came with a carrier bearing relocation bracket along with the shackles. Also, if you have the factory trailer hitch, you will need to drop it to have access to remove the factory shackle bolts. Not overly complicated, just takes a little time......I've heard some people don't have problems with vibration with the two peice driveshaft and lowering but I wasn't going to risk it (carrier bearing relocation is your choice).
