Because Genius, although I have a 4X4 I don't offroad it. I only use 4WD when it snows. So I lowered my front 1.5 in by the torsions key and lowered the rear 2 in by using shackles.

Why? because I like the improved stance, it rides and drives better. And handles curves far more superior.

please keep this too yourself, you kow this is gonna ruffle feathers and cause me to delete posts. deleting posts makes me cranky. if you really are curious, NEXT time, find a nicer way to ask. no need to talk about this further , Let it go. no rebuttal speeches, back to topic.

cool avatar though.

Because the truck is too nice to off-road...I have my V8 Jeep ZJ for that. I'm just looking to have a sportier look (like the Silvy SS) while still having the 4WD if and when I need it>>>like for the 120"+ of snow we've had this winter. Look at the gap betwen the factory 265/70/17s and the fenders...I'd like to eliminate that, that's all.

Yeah, I love the color...I'm on the lookout for a SOM WS6 to keep the truck company.

Nice.

My lowered 4 X 4 is a street truck that does not get stuck if I get in the mud or snow. Lowering it makes it more aerodynamic, and it handles better. Plus with the addition of auto 4 wheel drive, gives me all wheel drive on the street.

In the winter I use my 4 wheel drive capabiliy daily. Muddy jobsites, snow, try backing a trailer up a gravel hill without 4 X 4.

For a street truck I have the best of both worlds, I have the ride of a Cadillac on the way to and from work, and do my 4 wheelin at work.

I'm not about to drive a truck this nice off road through the bushes, now that would not be smart.

I'm now thinking of lowering my truck, I thought about it in the past using shackles. Now I'm thinking about lowering it all around.
Maybe a 2/3 or 3/4 drop.
Do they make any kits for 2500HDs?
If so, where?

Thanks

I still have to lower my truck but have the parts. I am waiting on my 22" Stingrays so I don't have to cut the lower ball joint stud off. I bought Belltech spindles, shackels and Nitro Active rear shocks. I am going to remove the 4wd blocks and use a set of 2wd u bolts and as stated before by trever1t trim the rear bump stops. That should give me the stance I am looking for with a 2/4 drop on 22's.
