dont know much about trannys but i lost 3rd and 4th its a jasper stage 3 tranny put it in about 4 years ago it's a 4l60e 02 4wd ecsb silverado figured i'd have to replace the tranny but did'nt know if anybody knew somethin i didnt the fluid is still a little red it dont smell to burnt but who knows i was thinkin and flt level 4 if i need to replace thanks

 

Very common, the 3-4 frictions are probably toast. You may be able to just replace those but a full rebuild would probably be better...

 

Did they just go or did you hear anything prior to it happening? When I lost 3-4 in my tahoe it made a couple "Bangs" then no go, grenaded forward sprag. If its just the frictions its okay to drive in 1st and 2nd, if anything else park it cause more damage can happen.
Either go with a full rebuild or FLT that you mentioned.

 

Well at least it happened when the level 4 is on sale.

no in all honesty it just quit pullin in 4th then it down shifted into 3rd pulled for about a mile then quit pullin so i stopped checked to make sure nothin was leakin then checked the fluid then i just limped it about 4 miles to the closest exit and parked it then went back later that day and drove it home in 1st and 2nd but it pulls like a raped ape in first and 2nd but it never jerked or banged whatsoever how long is ur level 4 on sale andy and how much is it
