if you can swing the level 5 than that is what I would suggest, never have to worry about it again.

if i remember correctly i think i say FLT post that the FLT lvl4 80e was good for up to around 800rwhp+ and the level 5 was good for around 1100rwhp. and this was the rating for trucks.

parish hit over 1,000rwhp on his and had a lvl 5
I was just going to ask is that the rating for our heavy beasts. To me, anything over 3600# is heavy. Trucks have it rough compared to cars. Apparently, a Level 4 80E would work for me...maybe.

supposedly a trans built like the flt lvl5 65e is supposed to live with up to 650-700rwhp in a f-body. that is just hear say and manufacturers ratings. but we all know that same trans will only live to 520-550rwhp in a truck.

****, i can't swing gas for the truck right now, lol. I would LOVE to put a Level 5 with a new converter but I don't have the time or the money for that. I can't have the truck be down for 4+ weeks. It just won't work.

Google transformance. Mighty Mouse and several other big dogs on ls1tech are using his 4l80e. You don't need a core either.
