Looking to lower.

I have a 2005 Joe Gibbs Silverado, currently running 275/55-20 tires and wonder how low I can go on these tires. Also what kits should I look for and what ones should I stay away from?
I know with this body style it's better to do lower control arms after a certain amount of drop. Its been about 8yrs since I lowered a silverado so I don't know what company to go with.

You may rub with anything 2" or lower in the front, but only on tight turns. My 285/50/20 barely rub the sway bar on full lock turns with 2" drop springs in the front. There is much more room in the rear for tires.
