Not true. My OE pads in the rear squeek, my hawks never do.

If they are making noise, its due to improper installation or break-in. (I'm guilty of the later for my OE brakes )

The Brembos are a nice rotor, the slotting is definetly better than the OEMs, they are also Cad Plated so the non friction areas will not corrode, so should like nice behind the wheels for a long time. As far as how long they last Im not sure, I got 70,000 out of my original pads and rotors. My Hawk pads have not squeaked, and yes you have to seat them properlly. All I can say is " When you stomp on the brakes they bite hard!!!".

I have yet to hear a good argument as to how slotted/drilled rotors of the same diameter as our stock rotors increases the effectiveness of our brakes. Until I do, I will remain convinced that they don't. All they do is make the manufacturers of these rotors money.

I've heard that it is Brembo that makes our OEM rotors, FWIW.

I'm with this guy.

Think about it, slots and holes make you lose mass in the rotor, and that is a bad thing for your braking system. On top of that, more dust, less life in your brake pads, a rotor that can't be turned on a traditional lathe, and extra money for really no noticible improvements.

Tires, Pads, lines, and better fluid. Then call it a day.

If you currently have 18"+ wheels, go for a big brake kit that offers larger rotors and better calipers.

Only thing i could see positive out of the slotted and drilled rotors is MAYBE they allow air flow? I'm not sure, I'm on a tight budget, so i just upgraded the pads
