I feel stupid asking this after ive already made a thread about which setup to go with. I asked the question about the locker and that sort of stuff on another site and one guy is saying that the fullsize trucks like mine have a 7.5" 10 bolt rear end in them. I was told and beleive that i have a 8.5" rear end. Could someone please answer which one i would have in my truck? I dont think a fullsize truck would have a 7.5" rear end in it.

Thats what i thought, but the other guy saying that had me a little confused. Of course, after i posted that question on here, he edited his post on the other board and said that it was an 8.5". Now i assume that our trucks are the 30 spline axles?

Thanks, I beleive i am set on ordering the gear and install kit from jegs next week. I plan on running a 4.10 gear, since this truck isnt my dailer driver. I will probably wait and order the detroit truetrac setup the week after, i need to look around and see about finding the lowest price on it.

I just had the Trutrack installed two weeks ago and I like it fine. Drives perfect and performs well at wot from a stop. No clutches, just gears. Not rebuidable but it would take a pro stock motor to kill it. I'm glad that's what I went with. Got it from Randy's along with 4.56 gears. Havin some fun
