Default Lets guess on How long my tranny's gonna last...

Well this morning I was driving home and noticed a little smoke coming out the rear .... About the same time truck started to slow down so I knew tranny was messing up. I shut it off in neutral and pulled off to the side. Towed it home and apparently one of the tranny lines blew out and dumped 6 quarts of fluid on the bottom side of the truck. Squeezed the clamp tighter and put the line back in..even tugged a couple times on both to make sure doesn't come out. Filled it with fluid again and after a day seems fine.. even some full throttle hits but I know it had to overheat before it started to slow me down. I know, I know temp gauge is coming soon.... So how long you think I got left??

Sounds like you caught it pretty fast, it probably didn't hurt it too bad.

those 3-4 clutches are very sensative to heat so they may be hanging by a prayer right now. thats the biggest thing i would worry about
