It's actually pretty easy and not very invasive to replace the clip, there is a hidden clip that needs to be removed before the cases will split though. IIRC, it's behind a rubber boot or something, but I know that there's a pic of it around here (possible in the t-case sticky), I used the pic to figure out why mine wouldn't split apart lol.

You just use RTV when you put it back together to seal the two halves?

Yes, theres no gasket. It comes apart pretty easy. Theres a good thread on here.. ill try to find it.
