lakewood traction bars
Anyone want to share how they have these setup on there truck?
I had to get different u bolts as the ones that came I thought were not strong enough.
Its been a PITA to get them set up right.
Its hard to get the right distance between the snubbers and the springs.
I like to get about a 1/8" between the snubbers and the springs on each side....this seems to keep my truck fairly straight. The directions talk about one side needing a larger gap than the other...that did not seem to work.
The problem Im having is the square adjustment bolts in front that go around the axle. I got some custom built as the stock ones did not have enough thread on them to get that 1/4" gap between it and the spring.
Another problem is after some time that gap disappears and the snubber is now upagainst the spring all the time...
Kind of at a lost as to what is going on.

I ran out of thread on them to get 1/4" gap between the bracket and spring.
What you mean by pre-loading? Are you saying to start off with a larger gap becuase that will decrease?
I agree that seem to work good for what they are...no complaints except for the adjustment issue.
Its just a street truck...would like some Caltrac...but not in the budget...my chevelle gets most of that.
