installing autometer trans temp?
 
I was reading on past threads about putting the temp probe in the pressure port on the tranny an it'll thread right in, but where is the pressure port on a 4l60e?

It's the pipe plug just above the PRNDL switch.

Yup, that's the spot. Have mine in the same port.

Holy dirty transmission batman! hahaha Im glad i never take any of my trucks offroad, i would hate to have been the one who pulled that trans out!

That port will work just fine, some guys even get a bung welded to the pan. Thats how john used to have his on his old truck...

can i get to that without dropping the trans? any zoomed out pics btw? i have no idea where that is in the trans...only work ive done on tranny's is installing servos lol
