i have a 2000 chevy silverado 5.3 an i was wondering if a transmision from a 04 Chevy Silverado will work

cause a guy that rebuilds transmission told me they wont work

If they are both 2wd or 4wd it will work. I would ask the guy as to why it will not work and see what he has to say. I would like to know why? Sounds like to me he is trying to sell you a trans rebuild instead. Vince

so what years do you think it fits because i have a transmission from a 95 thats a 4l60e an that guy told me it wouldnt fit

The 95 is a whole different animal he is correct on that one.
