Are goin tor eally SC it or just an idea? Even if you put a nice cam in it for a N/A or n2O a replacement cam shaft is only 300-350 bucks.
No matter what your gonna have to replace the springs and pushrods along with the cam.
If you want a strong cam i'd look into a 216/220 myself.
Did you ever get the Yank TT3000 for the truck?

What kind of tires are ya running? Your on 22's right? What tire and size are you running?
Hell i am getting my truck to hook with the setup i have right now on the street.
I wanna race it's all good. Powerbrake for about 1.5-2 seconds. Thats it.
Gets em just sticky enough and ready to go.
If your gonna cam you will want a convertor for sure. But goin 4.10's will not help traction in any way dude.

well, i wanted my 60ft times to be better, and it's not getting up and going very fast, obviously 22's w/ 305 40's. I think with the size tires, it would just be better overall with 4.10's. I am just trying to do a mod that will help me out without having to go into the motor, at least not until i have another vehicle to drive. I can't have this truck be my dd and my race truck that i tear into.

Well, with those rims and tires they are of course alot heavier. But a little taller. A 3.90 would put you back to your orginal 3.73 ratio before the rims swap.
But if your spinning now then a stall or a gear swap will not help that spin. Now both will help once you get some traction but you gotta get it to hook first.
What type of tire are you running?

they are nittos, the reason i wasn't hooking up was because it was real cold out, dew on the ground. I did do a good burnout everytime, just every once in a while i would spin 'em off the line. It hooks up once i let air out a good amount and do a REAL good burnout.

I find street tires get to hot with a real good burnout. Try goin out doin about a 2 second burnout then try to launch it. Mine hooks the best like that on the street with street tires.
Myself you already have 3.73's i'd just put a Yank TT3000 in the truck.
I'm looking to upgrade mine to a 3200 right now actually. Thanks to the cam wanting a bigger convertor.
