Default How will it hold up?

im looking to install an STS turbo system (7-8 lbs. of boost to start off) on my rig and was wondering what all i should do to ensure my 4L60E can withstand the power. maybe a trans-go shift kit, vette servo, and 3000 stall? or would it be more cost-effective to grab a used 4L80E from the junkyard down the road? i will be doing a cam swap in the near future as well (Lingenfelter GT2-3, ive heard it works well with boosted applications) and a custom tune of course. opinions/experiece would make this alot easier thanks in advance! --aaron

Just depends on how hard you are on it. I have a shift kit, servos and a stall and tow my boat a few times a month and so far so good.

Been beatin' on mine a bit in hot weather, so far no issues at all. I would do it if your truck is not too heavy.
