Seems to be the only thing anyone stocks in this city....about $35. And when I have gone to a dealer for one, like today, they say "we have to order it and it'll be $130." Surprised they don't stock such a common piece. Hopefully that is because the GM mounts last forever, as compared to the lifetime warranty aftermarkets. Haven't seen a GM 2WD mount up close, so I don't know if there is any more beef to them.

Also wasted a few hours running around town today trying to find a pinion crush sleeve for a '97 9.5 SF to no avail. If I would have known it would be so tough, I would have checked with some diff shops yesterday. After some Googling, it appears that the GM 9.25 IFS front may also use the same sleeve.

Well that sucks...

I haven't heard the poly was bad.

I could see a solid mount being bad but not a poly. Especially since you added a cage to stiffen the chassis. But I'm no expert either.

I may have an extra sleeve I can send you for free. Don't know how long it would take or what shipping would be.

Thanks a lot, but I should have some in a day or 2. Was hoping to get this together this long weekend and get the new DS ordered, because the rest of my week is going to be crazy. Seems that anytime something breaks I am down for at least a month. There are only 3 more track weekends left before it shuts down for the season at the end of September.

Thought I almost scored a sleeve because I got one that was supposed to be for a 9.25" IFS front which uses the same part. When I got home and opened it up it was for a Mopar 9.25" Would have worked if I could bore it out another .070"

I would replace with a poly unit
Not sure I have a lot of faith in the genuine GM part....

Glad I didn't pay dealer retail for it.

Are you still running stock motor mounts?

Thats probably your problem not the trans mount.

Recommend welding up the stock motor mounts to make them solid.

What about running poly motor mounts? When my motor and trans go back in, all mounts will be poly. Then again, I don't have the power that DrX has.
