how much hp can a stock 4l60e handle thinking of putting a 150 shot

If it would hold up to any more they wouldn't have ever needed torque management.

for a shot of nitrous, what would you recommend doing to the tranny?

I recomend a billet servo, and you should be ok.

Im also assuming an HD Transgo kit wouldn't hurt either, if your also gonna be doing the billet servo.

well a shift kit would help for sure. I heard of people losing one to a stocker and some that have had them live with some big hp. I gues it just the nature of the beast
