Default How good is the TB torque converter?

How good would the TB TC be with a mild cam? I have been thinking about while installing the gears in my truck having a TBTC put in. I plan to maybe to a head and cam package later on down the road and would like to keep whatever I put in there. Should I install a TBTC or just wait until I know what cam I plan to get and get a TC matched to the new engine power? Thanks
