you can search if you like their have been threads on it before, or block the cooler off some, but the consensus from what i rem reading pretty much says as long as it gets warm enough for the converter to lock and stay locked is good enough in extreme cold climates..

I don't think it will hurt but it is a bit colder then they are designed to run, that's why they have them go throw the rad to warm the oil in the winter.

I'm on my phone so the search is a bit of a pain at the moment using the trucool 40k -6an braided lines and the radiator is bypassed. I may try to block half of the cooler with a piece of cardboard to get the temps up some.

If you are going to block off half of the cooler then use some type of synthetic material, cardboard will break down after getting wet and push into the cooling fins. Go to your on base sheet metal shop if they have one and get a thin piece of Phenolic, its strong, light weight and heat resistant. Just wear a paint mask if you cut it.
