Default How to check for bent axle?

How should i go about checking for a bent axle.I noticed that when i have it jacked up on stands the center of the wheel looks like it is wobbly, even swapped them front to rears. My brother law failed to tell me that last tear when i lowered my truck at my inlaws my brother inlaw who was 17 at the time thought my axle was on stands and just yanked the jack so the whole rear fell on the axle about a foot drop.So i am wondering if my axles may be bent and not even be my pinion angle.

sounds like you finally found your vibration to me, i would definitely get a magnetic based dial indicator and check for runout on the axle where the studs are. hope it solves your problem.
