Default How to change a 1-2 shift selonoid?

Is it hard to do? Any special tools? Please give me a step by step instruction! I just don't want to take the pan off one day next week and get stumped. I don't have internet at the house and was wanting to know ahead of time. I haven't bought it yet nor do I know what it looks like. Thanks!

Just drop the pan and filter and unplug the solenoid. Its a square shaped solenoid on the back of the valve body. The 1-2 and 2-3 shift solenoid are the same and you might as well change both while you are there. The 1-2 is on the drivers side. Its held in by a horse shoe shaped clip, just push the solenoid in, and pull the clip out. Slowly pull the solenoid out and becarefull not to let the shift valve come out with it. Lube the oring on the new one and put it all back together. It's really not hard at all, Trannies just look scary.
