Speed Engeniring (one of the sponsors-> ) is working on a four link kit. So far as I know all of the 4-links are intended for air bag use and converted to fit a coil over set up.

Speed eng. will be the first with a 4-link for the purpose of better handling.

Mine doesn't ride that bad. It's definately more bumpy than stock but it's much better overall. My EX's 4/6" dropped 03' GMC RCSB is WAAAAY worse riding than mine. LOL

Cool

You need more than 1" of travel before you hit the bump stops. Can you move or trim the bump stops? I thought that I read that there is a spacer between the stop and the frame. If there is one can you take it out and mount the stop directly to the frame? You need more rear suspension travel.

I had 3" of travel after I trimmed my stops and still hit them so I put air over leaf bags on to stop the axle from hitting the frame. You can get helper bags to relieve the problem from AirLift as well and get rid of the bump stops AFAIK. If that is not going to do it you will need a c-notch to make you happy.

I think old age is the problem. I had Hotchkis and Edelbrocks on my '99 and my old *** thought it rode like poop. I have DJM on the '04 and it's much better.

Stop by on your next trip through Sac and you can check it out. It's no Cadillac but it's not bad. With stock shocks though my kidneys felt ready to pop. The fronts were completely blown out and it was killing me.

Then again even though I'm old I have had some pretty wild girlfriends so I am used to rough rides. Hahaha

Nice. Is there any more information on this?

04Sierra, everything about it is better. Adjustability, traction, ride quality.... it even looks cool because you can see the coil overs from behind. Spent about 1k.

After viewing all these post, no one ever asked the dumb question , Was the bump stops removed or changed? When I bought my truck it rode horible and I looked under the truck and it was sitting on the stock stops. I called the guy I bought it from and he admited the reason he sold it was because it almost ditched him a couple of times. The drop kit was installed by tire pros tire shop, so much for a professional install.

Good question
I did the install myself, these are the bump stops that came with the Hotchkis

One of them was gone completely when I changed the stock shocks out to the Edelbrock IAS shocks. The other was cracked. The three of the stock shocks were dead FWIW.

I had to change the bump stops out obviously due to the damage. I got what was available to me.
This is what I replaced it with.

The description is:
"All purpose bump stop for control arms, traction bars & leaf springs. Designed to be easily trimmed."
I laid it next to the kit equipped bump stop and trimmed it to what looked to be the correct height. I need to trim it more. Ill do it tomorrow.
