Its opposite for me. The slower I go the worse it gets. I can feel it when Im coastin between 1-10 like when I pull up to a stop sign. Just put a pair of used PZero Pirellis on it (slightly skinnier profile).Think the rims are fine. Figured if they were bent id feel it when i go fast too. Maybe I screwed something up from all those 2nd gear drifts

Default blow driveshaft

i have had that same vibration problem when i hit 90 mph.i was told it was my 4.10 gears on a ccsb lowered.they said it needed either a two piece drivshaft or a shim kit.and just an hour ago it blew out into two pieces.does anyone know where to get one in south houston or oniline cheap somewhere.

I have a vibration at high speeds because i put my pinion angle shims on my leafs on backwards and my pinion angle is off... only does it above 100mph though.

I have a steel drive shaft, and i have the same issue, i tried adjusting the pinion angle, but did nothing just made the vibration less noticable but at all speed lol.

I am going to change my joints or just not drive 85-90 unless at the track.

I have adjusted pinion angle, and replaced the uni-joints, so far pinion angle adjustments did nothing but add a constant anoying little vibration, and joints just helped a little. But i noticed mine starts at around 90, then gets worse and is at its worse by 110. I think its a driveshaft problem in my case.

i had my drive shaft balanced, it was way out, dont know the exact weight change, but i was told removing the factory weight actually helped. It got rid of alot of the vibration, but now i know its a pinion angle problem.

What are you guys running for an pinion angle, my trucks has 2" drop shackles.

Question

Did the 4.10 gears on ny 08 GMC and at about 95mph it f'n humms like a card in a bike spoke. Allot of good it does me to have a blower and I can't get it over 95mph!!!
I will be looking for a place to get the shaft speed balanced and hopefully this will go away.

Any one in the Houston are now of a place to get this done???
Any other ideas that may work ???

I've fought vibrations of some sort or other for a long while. Wish I knew what exactly fixed everything....

High speed - pinion angles helped. Combination of shims under the tranny and 3* shims under the rear. You can talk pinion angle of the rear all day long but each setup is different. Its the relationship of the DS angle and the trans joint and rear end which is different for different trucks and heights.

Under torque - low speed. - greatly improved with the TA Girdle.

I notice no vibration at all now. After the 80e install. Removing the shim under the trans, a custom high speed balanced shaft and a new 1350 yoke install. I may not have had the proper pinion nut torque with my old unit when I installed my gears.
