Help picking out tc

Default Help picking out tc

I just bought a 4l80e and going to put it into my truck ans woundering how big of a stall to get. I have a TB stall now and dont really like it. I want to go bogger like 3200 or even 3500. Need your guys .02 cents

Go big as possible on the stall. At least 3200 because the first gear in the 80e sucks horribly.

dont go as big as possible. you can out stall your truck if the stall speed is higher than your peak torque. find your peak torque in the RPM range and get a stall like 200-400rpm less than that. if i were you i would choose a stall that best fit a future cam choice if there is one. but for the sake of ease, i would say 3200-3400
