Help me out guys
Finally got my turbo kit done and somewhat tuned. First time 1/2 throttle boost pull and it blows the tires off. Well one tire, I'm pretty sure I have the non posi rear end.
2005 2WD 4.8 RCSB s475 turbo 1. What rear do I have? 10 bolt 8.6? 2. Should I just put a tru trac in it? 3. Anything else that should be done besides better tires obviously? Thanks guys. |
Do you have the G80 code in your glove box? Either way an upgrade POSI is a good idea. I like the eaton LSD but the trutrac is popular also.

I'll take a look. I doubt I have the G80 code. I think I just have the regular non posi.

That's what I wanted, thanks! What size tires can fit under these trucks without cutting? 295, 305?

With a 4/6 drop using a 20" wheel, a 275/45/20 is maxed out with a little rub on hard dips and bumps. That tire has a diameter of 29.7 so if you are using a different wheel size that will help you dial in a tire size. https://tiresize.com/calculator/ |

I have a 3/5 drop and I have ran a 305 before but there are more options in the 295 range
