Default Help deciding drop and wheel size

Have 2003 sierra and I'm kinda wanting a 3/5 drop with maybe some 265/45r22... then a friend said do 4/6 w/ 20's in front and 22's in back but i dunno what it looks like so i'm not to sure. What size wheels and what drop are you guys running and did you have to cut fender wells or c-notch? Thanks!

With my 34" drop I run 20's wrapped in 275/45/20's Not a good size for the front tires. I get a tiny bit of rubbing on the driver side front tire, a size smaller and it would be perfect, or an inch higher.

I am running a DJM 4/6 with 20s all around wrapped in 245/40/20s. I had 275/35/20s (same height, just different width) and they rubbed the rear fender lips a little.

You could actually go with a 4/6 and 22s with a 265/35/22 tire, but you will have to get wheels with the correct backspacing to tuck.

mine is a 4/6 with a 255/45r20...my dads crew cab is a 3/4 with a 275/45r20...they both rub upfront a bit on turning or LARGE woopy stlye bumps at higher speeds when the suspension really drops...

20 and 22 combo looks pretyt badass...but not on a lowered chevy..maybe a 22/24 would look alot better...heres a pic of both of the trucks

It's all in the backspacing of the rim. I ran a 5-7 with a 28" tall tire for 2 tears before I bagged my truck and had no problems at all. Anything over a 3" I would plan a doing a c-notch to make it a bit more driveable.
