Default Help. 4wd 03' Yukon wont shift into 4th at all....

I cant figure out why it wont get into 4th gear. I checked the linkage, fluid and yet it still wont get into 4th. I had the corvette servo, cai and a tune installed and it work fine for about a day then on my 5 hour drive out of state the damm thing wont shift into 4th, just cruises along turing 3g's at 65mph! Is there a fuse or relay that could have tripped? I did look over the fuses and saw nothing wrong.

sounds like the servo needs to be checked.Whatever you do DONT go WOT untill it gets fixed, cause if the snap ring holding the servo's in is partly out it can crack the case.

Id say pull it apart and check the O-rings

thanks for the response. Sucks I have to drive 6 hours back home like this before I can get it looked at. I was hoping it an unplugged harness or something but no luck there.

turns out the installer put the 3rd gear apply piston backwards and wouldnt allow 4th to engage. we had even tried to override it and put it in via tuning. Fixed the piston when I got home and its all good now. It was an simple f-up but too many little things were done at the same time and couldnt isolate it initially.
