Default Has anyone gone from 4.10-

4.30?
I have a DD and can't afford to go all the way to 4.56 and don't really want to either, as I run up to Dallas somewhat regularly.
I'm getting some occasional sound from the rear. I'll be putting it on the rack tomorrow I hope.

4.10 to 4.30 really isnt worth the swap. Unless you have to regear anyway but I believe the 4.10s are cheaper. I dd 4.56s. its not too bad. Only lost about 1 mpg in the city and about 1.5 on the hwy.

IIRC, tsphad them at the same price.

The issue is: when I make a sharp right followed by a sharp left I get his Godawful sound like steel being twisted. I caught it yesterday before it really got going.
Once thesuncomes up I'm going to check the difference level and go from there. My buddy thinks it may be the carrier bearing but I don't know.

Any ideas?

Tia

Could this be a carrier bearing issue?
I got looking at the loop pics and got to wondering. I've had issues with that before!
