Default gov lock install into 8.6

Installed a "lightly used low mile" gov loc into my truck that didnt have 1.
I dont do any serious mudding or any of that just use it haul firewood and my crap around.

Installed it into the truck with little to no issues and now having some issues with it working properly.

It finally rained out this way after a long dry spell and its the 1st time I've actually used the truck in the rain since the install.

It doesn't seem to be locking up the rear as its supposed to.

From a slow speed turn (under 15MPH) it will not engage the other rear wheel to give me traction up a hill or engage on a turn at speeds under 30MPH.

It only engaged 1 time straight off the line and hasn't done it since.

Suggestions, please.

Okay Called Eaton and spoke to 1 of thier reps. Apparently adding in Synthetic blend (75W90) Valvoline of gear oil and the GM slip addative is the reason WHY it isn't engageing. Apparently its TO slippery, so he told me to dump the gear oil out put in STRAIGHT dino oil and have at it. This is what they want you to do.

I find putting no slip additive into the axle housing (even thou it really isnt slipping in) is unorthodox to me.
