Question Good Transmission Shop In Houston

My brothers 01' Z71 is going to be needing the trans rebuilt.
Any suggestions on a good tranny shop to bring it to here in Houston???
Not hard to find a mechanic to rebuild it. It's hard finding a "good" mechanic to get the job right the first time.

John Goebel, Waco Texas. He just goes by word of mouth. He set me up a 60E and its working out better than I anticipated.

My tranny hasn't gone out yet but I did have the converter and a few other things done at Aribies Racing Transmissions(spelling?) in Baytown. I'm fully satisfied with job, knowledge and price.

New would be nice, but his truck has a little over a 100k and he doesn't race it or go off roading.
Thanks anyways.

I'm sorry gonzo 6.0. I misinterpreted what you said. Can you give me a few more details on exactly what you are talking about.
Who does this for $1000.00? Or is this a tranny that I would have to put in myself?
I'm sorry I didn't read your post carefully.

Jim
