GMT400 14 bolt into NNBS
#1
who has installed a 14 bolt from a 98 and older truck into a NNBS. Im wanting to upgrade my gears and posi, but im thinking about using a 14 bolt.
Has anyone done this swap and kept the drums brakes. My NNBS has drums anyways, so would I be able to reuse the backing plate and complete brake setup from my truck on the 14 bolt?

I haven't seen one my self on a NNBS but If you were to do it, you would want the rear from a 4x4.
The problem with those housings is that the originall backing plate bracket is to far inward. You have to use spacers or get a new bracket made like I did.
I compiled a list of swaps and measurments from some of the more common 14 bolts 9.5

On the 900 they changed the shock mounting tabs from the 800. but I believe the leaf pad distance is the same.
