I'm going to stray away from the bunch and say 4.10s are good with the 80e. Used them for years and they got the job done and were still good acceptable on the highway at 2300 rpm.

Thats not bad. What speed though?

I see 2100 at 65 and just a tad over 2200 at 70. Pulls hills almost effortlessly.

dont under gear your setup. there is no reason to run a 342 with a full height tire in a modest turbo setup. We have weight we need gearing, these arent Fbodys. I went from a 488 to a 410 with my setup and lost ET and mph in the 1/8th. Unless your motor is barely seeing 6k crossing the traps and making peak power the 342s arent for ya. Now if you were making big power and trapping in the 140/150s then 342s would work best

I've lost a few 10ths going from 4.10 to 3.73 but gained alot of drivability. The 4.10s blew the tires at highway speeds and 3.73 kept them planted under 70mph. My new set-up is back with 4.10s on a RCSB and will have more power.
