if you go with 4.30 you can go with a taller dr tire and get much better traction at the track.
i'd go with 4.30 but i did not know they made 4.30 they must of just started makeing them i have 3.73 in now due to the 2 stage but i would like to run 3.90 are 4.10
man if they have 4.30 gears go with them you will not be dissappointed

so u'd just have to replace the carrier bearings?
because i have 3 42 and want 4 10's or 4 30's
and what spline axles are in my 99 rcsb 5.3?
and whats a good limited slip unit to buy for it too?
thanks for any info

For gears lower than 4.10's-you must be going from daily driver to race truck imo.
If it's something you drive everyday, and your tires are no taller than 30 inches, 4.10 gears are plenty, especially when gas gets back into the 3.00 a gallon range.
If your creating something just for the track-that's a whole nutha thing.
