Default Gear Install- How Much?

how much did yall pay to get gears installed- my brother said it cost him $1200- WTF? i already have the gears - ALL i need installed is ring and pinion gears....

its quite a bit of logistics and precision to do it yourself i guess it depends on patience, accessibility and know how

i can do nitrous and pullies but all the checking and bs is just a little daunting for me- so between 300 and 400 dollars sounds about right?

okay wow i was so worried when my brother said that it was gonna be $1200 but he had a 4x4 tacoma so OKAY IM SO HAPPY- considering i already had the gears-

about how much do you guys think i will pick up from going from 3.42's to 4.10's? 3 tenths?

i never had my truck track tested from the 3.42's to 4.10's...i wouldnt think you would gain 3 tenths in the 1/4, maybe .3 in the 1/8 and .2 in the 1/4....dont as me where im getting the numbers from cuz im just pulling them out of no where so im probably way off so its just a complete guess

its about 150 for gear install here. if youre just swapping gears and everything else in the rear is in good shape. just swap gears and measure backlase and youll be fine. i used stock gm gears when i went from 373 to 410s. have around 600 miles on them no hauling no tight spots nothing. but if youre using another brand of gears i would recomend getting correct shims andetc
