damn man. I cant imagine what they'll say. Im sure it will be pretty drawn out though. I'll see if I can get a number for someone a little higher up for you tonight. My pops works for GM and Ive gotten some pretty crazy stuff replaced as factory defects.
I had a kid break into my truck and smash the window to do so. We said that the window just blew out and it was there fault. They replaced it after a couple of calls. I'll see if I can get a name or number for you if you need it.
